About Me

Hey there! I’m Paul Brenker, originally from Berlin, now enjoying life (and sunshine!) in Tel Aviv with my girlfriend and our lovable seven-year-old husky. I studied Computer Science and absolutely love tinkering with code both for fun and professionally.

Professional Stuff

While studying, I worked as a Student Software Engineer at SAP LeanIX in Bonn. I was fully involved in developing core collaboration features for the Enterprise Architecture Management platform handling everything from feature building to infrastructure upkeep. Here’s what I worked with:

  • Azure Cloud Platform
  • Containerized applications in a Kubernetes cluster
  • CI/CD via GitHub Actions
  • Front-end in TypeScript (Angular)
  • Backend in Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot and JPA
  • PostgreSQL for data storage

I’ve also interned there, leading my own mini-project: verifying the company’s OpenAPI schemes for compliance with REST guidelines using TypeScript and GitHub Actions to help keep things consistent and clean.

When I’m Not Coding

You’ll often find me out on the water rowing has been my passion since I was 10. Here in Tel Aviv, I train with Shayatim Rowing Club along the Yarkon River. It’s a beautiful way to slow down, build technique, and embrace pure teamwork.
