I am Paul. I am 28 years old and originally from Berlin, Germany. Recently I moved from Germany to Israel with my girlfriend, where we are living in Tel Aviv. I studied Computer Science, and I am a personally and professionally a passionate coder excited about almost all kinds of technology.

Professional

I have been working parallel to my studies as a Student Software Engineer at SAP LeanIX in Bonn, Germany.

Student Software Engineer

I was working in an agile engineering team in SAP LeanIX that is responsible for core collaboration features of the Enterprise Architecture Management platform. Even though my student position I was completely involved in the regular feature development and the maintaining of the existing infrastructure. The stack I worked on here was:

• Azure Cloud Platform
• Containerized Applications in a Kubernetes Cluster
• Continuous Deliveries with GitHub Actions
• TypeScript (Angular) Frontend
• Java / Kotlin Backend with Spring Boot and JPA
• PostgreSQL Database

Intern

As an Intern I had my own project separate from the teams scope. In this project I was researching possibilities to verify the companies OpenAPI schemes for compliance with the REST guidelines for consistent styling and semantics. Here I worked mostly with TypeScript and GitHub Actions.

Hobbies

In my free time I like to go rowing which is my hobby since I am 10 years old. In Tel Aviv I joined the Shayatim Rowing club next to the Yarkon river in the heart of the city. Rowing is a great sport for the whole body and for team building. In a time, where everything is fast-paced and low-commitment rowing helps to stay focussed as progress in technique, strength and team spirit is usually slow and requires great personal efforts.

My girlfriend and I adopted a seven-year-old Husky in February 2025 which I am sharing here because who doesn’t love cute dog pictures.
